The Sustainable Finance Initiative is focused on accelerating the energy transition through impact investing. You should join in order to learn about impact investing and develop relevant technical skills, receive exposure and networking opportunities with experts in the field, and gain experience managing a sustainable fund. We have two teams in the group:

Investing Team:
The investing team will mange the impact fund. You will cover public and private companies, bonds, and many other investments in whatever sector you choose (i.e. solar, wind, carbon capture and storage,  alternative fuels, etc.). Everything that is needed to participate will be taught by us. Coverage groups include:

• Wind & Solar

• Carbon Capture, Utilization, & Storage (CCUS)

• Alternative Fuels

• Transportation & Buildings

• ESG
  

Review Team:
The Review team will conduct research into various sustainable finance topics and write articles based on that research. By the end of the semester, each individual will have written their own article to be published in the HUCEG Review and be familiar with resources such as Pitchbook, Bloomberg Business, and Proquest, as well as know how to read company financial and annual reports.
